You see RVs across the lot. One calls to you by name. You open the door, breathe in the smell of new upholstery and know this is it. You are in love. Just as there are many different personalities, there are RVs for every type of person. Millionaires, presidents and minimalists all use RVs for travel, for exploration and for something money can’t buy; memories. With so many choices, how do you find the right one for you? The following is a brief summary of the RVs on the market.
Money is no object for you. You live for style, for luxury. Your idea of roughing it is staying at the Four Seasons. For you, the Class A RV is a perfect fit. Offering some of the largest living spaces, Class A RVs stretch between 30-40 feet long with additional space when slide-outs are opened. You could invite seven of your closest friends to join you, or you could create your own private sanctuary. Outfitted with custom anything you can think of, these RVs start at $100,000 and keep going up.
A more family-minded vehicle is the Class B RV. They run a little smaller, from 17-19 feet, but are built on a van chassis. Class B RVs have all the essentials for life on the road, including a kitchen, self contained toilet, electricity and more. There’s no reason not to visit Yosemite or the Everglades. Pack up the kids; don’t worry about baggage fees as you take everything you need with added room for souvenirs.
Class C RVs are the party vehicle. Ten people fit comfortably in 20-31 feet of space, making this ideal for college breaks or small camping and hiking organizations, to name a few. Don’t worry, what ever happens in a Class C RV stays in the Class C RV.
If you love to hike, spend your time daydreaming about your next hiking or biking adventure, but want a safe dry place to crash at night, then consider towable RVs. These RVs hitch to a truck or SUV and some even work with mid-size vehicles. Asking price starts at $15,000, and while some are best suited for the solo trekker, others comfortably fit six likeminded adventurers.
Travel trailers are a great solution for organizations, clubs or family outings that require a bit of space. They can be found on the lower end of the pricing spectrum, starting at $10,000. Fill the space with golf clubs, tennis request, fly fishing poles or games for the family to play. Then sit back and watch the miles drift away.
For the minimalist of the group, consider the folding camping trailer or pop-up trailer. It’s kind of like a tent on wheels, only more durable, with space for up to six. Bring the party with you for the next great adventure. Imagine booking thirty, forty vacations for six people and having a price tag of only $4,000. It can happen.
RVs rank cheaper for travel expenses than hotel and air vacations. With so many options on the market, why not head to your local RV dealer to find out which RVs fit your needs? There’s no better time to travel than now.
